In our WHAT’S UP THE FLUE? blog posts, we will give you a quick and easy rundown on one of our products, including new products just released from our manufacturers. The star of our first WHAT’S UP THE FLUE? post is the all-new Format electric fireplace from SimpliFire.

 

 

The Format is a 36” wall-mounted electric fireplace that requires your choice of a 43”, 50”, or 60” floating mantel. The mantels come primed white and ready for paint (or not, it’s up to you!). This is one of the most affordable and easy ways to spruce up your home in a modern way. It comes with both clear crystals and Alpine Logs so you can choose which option you want inside.

 

The Format comes with your choice in size of mantel, clear crystals and Alpine Logs as previously mentioned. It also comes with four flame color choices, 13 ember bed color choices, the ability to have the flame on without the 5,000 BTU/hour heater (so no need to worry about sweating any guests out if you want the ambiance on a cool summer night!), multi-colored accent lighting on the mantel, concealed heat vents, and a multi-function remote to control it all.

 

Retailing at about $1,448*, the Format is comparable to the Compton from Evonicfires, which retails at $3,200*.

As you can see by the 2 photos, the Format and the Compton are practically indiscernible. As of the publication of this post, the Format comes in the 36” size. So stay tuned – there might be a wider range of sizes down the line!
